Bad news…
There are certain people out there who think folks like you and me are a bit crazy.
They think having a stockpile of food and a cache of guns ready for a disaster is peculiar. So, they constantly look down on us for being prepared.
And yet, they live in a comfort bubble and hide their heads in the sand when push comes to shove.
But the year 2020 came, and suddenly, they were dead wrong, and you were dead right.
These people saw the evidence of their ineptitude, and when the situation became way too serious not to do something about it, they turned on each other.
Hi, I'm Bob Rodgers.
I'm a prepper, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
For the past 10 years, I've been sounding the alarm and helping people prepare for the uncertain future.
I've seen how the people's inability to act and even their prized food stockpile can put them in danger or get them killed.
At times, it felt like battling windmills….
People had a hard time understanding what I was preaching.
All until a few years back when the pandemic hit, and we all witnessed a scary fact.
Most people out there are simply unprepared to handle a crisis. A lot of them, including your friends and neighbors, had to wait in line for basic supplies like water and toilet paper.
And while lines of people were stretching for miles outside stores, inside, food was literally flying off the shelves.
We all heard reports that food was sold out in many areas of the country, and restocking inventories was wishful thinking at best.
This caught everyone by surprise, and panic began settling in.
They'd never seen anything like that in their lives, and they never thought they would go hungry in one of the richest countries in the world.
But even today, after two years of struggle, most people out there fail to take action.
They don't stockpile enough food or stockpile the wrong foods, which could be setting their families to starve.
Around 78% of Americans aren't prepared for a disaster when it comes to food and water. (1) They keep their heads in the sand, hoping the government will come to their rescue when the proverbial brown stuff hits the fan.
The rest of them, those that do prepare, while they have good intentions, often fail to see the bigger picture.
It sounds harsh, but the truth is too many people with good intentions are making critical mistakes with their food stockpiles.
Mistakes like…
Getting foods packed with salt, Monosodium glutamate (MSG), and preservatives that will clog their arteries and get them sick. MSG is a flavor enhancer often added to canned vegetables, soups, meats, and other foods, but did you know it has been linked to obesity, metabolic disorders, and brain toxicity?
Buying MREs or other survival foods that have a short shelf life or, depending on where they buy them, they could be nearly expired. Not only are these foods a bad choice for your stockpile, but they are also an expensive mistake.
Or simply buying the wrong foods, creating an imbalance in their meal plan, which means their family can become malnourished.
But, for the sake of argument, let's say you're not part of the 78% of Americans that wait for handouts, and you have all things figured out.
Allow me to make the following assumptions.
You probably have a food stockpile and enough water to last you a month or two.
You probably have a backyard garden to supplement your meals.
And perhaps, you're a prepper, just like me.
Do you think that's enough?
Are you sure you're not missing out on something that could place you in the same social group, "the unprepared"?
Well…in fact, you, like most preppers out there, are making a grave mistake.
You're ignoring the elephant in the room, the most dangerous factor of a crisis… the human factor.
But don't take my word for it, and look at the real world out there if you want to see what I'm talking about.
If you do so, you will understand how a rich country was brought to its knees, how people struggled to survive, and what they had to resort to when food was gone.
To this day, the crisis In Venezuela remains the best real-life example of how hyperinflation can destroy a rich country, leading to starvation, disease, crime, and mortality rates escalating at unprecedented levels.
Americans should take notes because we can all learn from this.
We should concentrate on the facts, regardless if we are preppers or not.
We should all acknowledge how lives were changed forever and what the common people had to do to survive.
Venezuelans were storming supermarkets and attacking food trucks when food supplies began to decrease. They had no regard for their lives or the lives of others, and the thought of their families starving pushed them to extreme actions. (3)
Not only were they stealing food from grocery stores, warehouses, and food trucks, but they also had to rely on catching and stealing animals to feed their families. Yes, you've heard that right!
They began stealing animals from zoos and ate them, and soon after, they began hunting and stealing peoples' pets, cats and dogs, for the same gruesome reason. (4, 5)
Can you imagine having your pets stolen and ending up on someone's plate? Or even worse, having to eat your own pets?
And once these "unusual resources" began to dwindle, they began turning on their neighbors.
Stealing and raiding homes became daily life and a frightful reality that some people just couldn't handle. Those with a garden or another method to grow their own food became prime targets.
To survive and feed their families, many people had to flee the country. Those that stayed moved their gardens to the rooftops, and since this wasn't enough, they also had to hire armed guards to protect these gardens and their food supplies. (6)
The bottom line from all of this?
Food will become your number one concern during a crisis, no matter if you are prepared or not to handle that crisis or how well-prepared you think you are.
It will become your main priority even if you live in a developed or first-world country.
And besides having to make sure you can procure your next meal, you will also have to deal with the human element, which will put you and yours at risk.
"But this will never happen in the United States!"
There will be people popping their heads out of the sand to say this, and they really believe we, as one of the most powerful nations, are too big to fail.
I can't tell you if it will happen or not since I cannot predict the future, and I don't want to create mass panic.
I do, however, encourage you to keep your eyes open and look at the signs. You can draw your own conclusions.
"What signs are you talking about, Bob?"
Well…
Let's see how good we have it in this country or how good we think we have it, despite some things pointing to the contrary.
First of all, the cost of living in the U.S, the amount of money needed to pay for the basic common expenses required to maintain your lifestyle, has been steadily increasing in the last decade. It's gotten tougher for many people out there to afford basic necessities like rent and food.
We've all been feeling it lately, and it seems to be getting out of control since we need to earn more to live comfortably and maintain the same lifestyle. And this crazy reality hits even harder if you look at the figures. You begin to understand that the cost of living in America has climbed 14 percent over the past three years. It's getting harder and harder for Americans to get by. (7)
Second, food prices in America have increased by more than 10 percent in the last twenty years. This may not seem like much at first, but if you break down these costs by year, you will see that over the last 12 months alone, grocery prices soared 13.1%, the largest annual increase since the year ending in March 1979. (8)
Food prices are skyrocketing, and it's not just because of inflation. In fact, it's estimated that prices of staple food crops like wheat, rice, and maize will rise between 121 percent and 194 percent by 2050 because of climate change and energy demands. (9)
And lastly, to make things even worse, the food you've stockpiled and currently own, it's not really yours. There are anti-hoarding laws in effect that enable the government to take your food and redistribute it as they see fit.
I belive the "National Defense Resources Preparedness" executive order signed by Obama In March 2012 will empower authorities to confiscate food resources and other stockpiles to ensure the survival of the government. (10)
I don't know about you, but I don't want to wait in line for FEMA handouts when the brown stuff hits the fan. I'm afraid there won't be enough to go around for everyone, and I don't want to take my chances with the government and watch my children starve.
If you want to be prepared and stay ahead of the unprepared masses, you need backup plans and be smart about it.
I've been helping people prepare for a few years now, and my website, www.prepeprswill.com provides life-saving knowledge to everyone willing to open their eyes and get prepared.
Not only I've been helping people become better prepared, but I've also been teaching them to stop advertising their preps.
No one needs to know what you are doing and what you are stockpiling.
Don't let your neighbors or the government in on your plans because you will regret it one day.
Food will become our number one concern during an emergency, and we need to be able to grow our own food without anyone knowing about it.
I believe the signs are all pointing in the same direction, and we should no longer take food security for granted in this country.
Nowadays, having a backyard garden may seem like an ideal solution for growing food, but it's far from one since it will make you a target if things go south.
Like it or not, you will most probably be growing food for others, and there will be nothing you can do about it when the government or your neighbors come knocking.
Everyone will be able to spot your garden, and they will fight you for it.
Now, you can try guerilla gardening to hide your food, but that won't work for long since your food is exposed to the wrath of Mother Nature, wild animals, and curious passersby. You have no guarantee that the garden will still be there when you need it the most, and it's certainly no failproof method to grow your own food.
Or perhaps you are one of the lucky ones, and you can move to a secluded location during an emergency where no living soul can find you. This may work, and you will only succeed if you have experience working with the land.
But how will you grow your own food?
You need to have enough gardening soil, your garden requires plants that grow and thrive in your zone, and you need to learn to work with various micro-climates.
Finally, and most importantly, you must ensure you can obtain enough food to feed your family all year long.
So, what can you do if these options are not viable for obtaining food independence?
How can you make sure you can obtain food independence without putting yourself or your loved ones at risk?
The answer should be obvious by now….
You need to stay under the rather and move your food production methods to locations that are inconspicuous and inaccessible to others, like the underground.
You need to be able to control your environment and all your food production methods to ensure total success.
And I believe here is how I can help because I've been looking for a solution to this problem for many years and I finally found one!
I've been trying and testing various food-growing methods over the years, and I can honestly say I've tried them all.
I've seen what works both indoors and outdoors, and I've learned how to grow my own food on my own terms.
My knowledge and methods were gathered and packed in the Underground Farm book. A book that helps people grow their own food under the radar, inside their own homes, or in remote locations. All this without anyone figuring out about their plans or whereabouts.
This book shows you how to employ various food-growing tested methods and develop food production systems to obtain food independence no matter where you live.
By using the methods shown in this book, you will be able to grow healthy food in basically any environment without worrying about soil availability and quality, water accessibility, or environmental temperatures.
Here is just a glimpse of what the Underground Farm book can teach you:
How to turn a 55-gallon drum into a prolific garden
I've been using 55-gallon plastic drums for years to grow food, and I will show you how easily you can turn these drums into vertical gardens with minimal equipment. You can follow the guidelines of the Underground Farm book to grow greens, herbs, strawberries, peppers, and even tomatoes using this method.
How to turn any wall inside your home into a vegetable garden
If you want to extend the growing season or if you want to keep your garden concealed, you can turn to the walls inside your home to grow plants. The projects listed in this book will teach you how to improvise, adapt and turn every wall inside a building into a productive garden.
How to grow food where rocky or bad soil are constant problems
People all across this country are struggling with bad soil or the lack of gardening soil altogether. How about changing the norms and using other mediums to grow your plants or eliminating gardening soil for good? There are a few methods to help you keep a soil-free garden, and you will learn how to grow plants without worrying about gardening soil ever again.
How to use feed crop and grain crop waste to grow vegetables
When it comes to gardening, recycling and reusing are good practices we should all follow. But how about reusing garden or farming waste for gardening rather than composting? I will show you how to use feed crops and crop waste to grow plants and speed up their growth rate to improve the growing season.
And much, much more.
Listen, I can't predict the future. I don't know exactly when or how a crisis will hit. But from everything I see, it could be soon, and it could be a big one. That's why I want you to have the same peace of mind as me.
I already know how well these innovative methods work, and I'm sharing them with the rest of the world.
And in the unlikely event that this book is too hard for you to follow or it isn't a good fit for you, email us, and you'll get a full refund immediately.
